Unless that debian from the MK802 was armv5te instruction set armel, it's going to fail like hell.

I am not really bothered about retaining any binaries, its more so that it just needs to be a Debian distro with the same packages installed. At least if I can get any variant of Debian on there, I will be able to replicate my current system with little hassle.

But nothing to stop me testing the current system by running it up in a chroot on the Alarm distro first...

I think the MK802 has the hardware floating point support, so runs the armv5hf instruction set.

I think I recall what the problem I had with running a kernel without the FDT. After loading the kernel it would hang waiting for /dev/sda2 to become available.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('iwonbigbro', 'r')uns the armv5hf instruction set.

No such thing exist.

Won't run on an NSA320, like I said before.

I know, that's not my issue. I just need the config and list of packages from my existing environment, so I can replicate it using another Debian variant that will run on armv5te. For now though, I just want to focus on replicating my existing Kernel configuration, with the additional configuration parameters required for this architecture.

What cross toolchain are you using to compile your kernels?

When I cross, I use the pre-compiled chain we have hosted, and linked on this site, since it is our official one.
