Can you give me the md5 of the image you downloaded? Either the .img.gz or just the .img will be fine. But that 'ro' in the cmdline is probably whats causing problems. I think initscripts ignored it and remounted it rw.

Hi,
I had the same problem of read-only SD card after installing systemd. I solved it by adding the following line in /etc/fstab:
/dev/mmcblkop3 / ext4 rw,errors=remount-ro 0 0

I hope it will work too for you.
