I am able to boot with both drives attached but the the right drive is required as thats where archlinixarm is installed.

I am still trying to figure out how to raid1 the 2 drives when 1 of the drives has archlinuxarm installed on it. How do I set that up? raid is installed.

Uboot does not power on the *right* drive, only the *left*

Warhead

One bug report:

I wasn't able to load any module. Then I found out:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'uname -a
Linux Nas 3.11.4-3-ARCH #1 PREEMPT Tue Oct 8 19:08:42 CDT 2013 armv5tel GNU/Linux')

But:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'ls /lib/modules
3.11.5-2-ARCH extramodules-3.11.5--kirkwood')

I just renamed the lib directory, then it worked.

If you had an entry in fstab where /dev/sda1 mounts as /boot, that would not have happened

Hmm. I was expecting a lot more newb questions since the watchdog issue has been fixed... Perhaps we need more publicity? "Zyxel NSA325 Watchdog Finally Neutralized--Brick Your Device Today!!!1"

The power for the drive is controlled via GPIO, and the newer kernel has it turned ON by default, where as I typo'd in earlier version and it was OFF. Oops. Anyways, I fixed this several days ago.

So here is one: Just so sum up my understanding of reading the current thread:
Archlinux needs to be installed on a small parition of the left drive.
Booting purely from USB is not supported. The left drive needs to have 512-sized sectors (right?).
Apart from this, I install the disk, plug the USB stick in the back port and start the update ?
Is there already support for hw clock, startup/shutdown scheduler, WakeOnLan, USB3 ?
(not pushing, just asking ......)

Thanks WarheadsSE for making it possible
