SMILE Plug DHCP leases

Does the SMILE Plug log dhcp leases? If so, where would I find that log?

No, there's no logging set up for that. dnsmasq acts as the DHCP server, and you can enable logging, but also notice syslog is disabled in the SMILE image. This was done to prevent logs very few people will care about from filling up the NAND flash.

Really?! I could not find dnsmasq on my SMILE Plug. Where is it?

It is not in rc.conf, dhcp4 is. Nor could I find a dnsmasq.conf on the plug, or dnsmasq included in any code in https://github.com/SMILEConsortium/smileplug-bsp.

My bad, forgot I changed from that to the ISC dhcp server.

OK :-) That is critical for me. I need to have all URLs redirect to the Plug internal web server. I have done that on other platforms with dnsmasq - very easy to configure, but do not know how or if that is possible with ISC dhcp.

Logging, perhaps to external storage, is important for my use cases to show usage.

On my 486 server, rpm based, its /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases for my ISC dhcp server
How do you redirect url's with dnsmasq?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pepedog', 'H')ow do you redirect url's with dnsmasq?

dnsmasq.conf would contain for example:

address=/#/192.168.2.1
listen-address=192.168.2.1

as well as its other settings.

Use dnsmasq just for that only, not for dhcp server
dnsmasq is dhcp plus dns server

I switched to ISC because dnsmasq had problems with a variety of clients, wouldn't issue addresses correctly. Under the ISC server, no faults at all.
