Nexus 7

Postby jabulmer12 » Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:48 am

So been up through the night working on bringing Arch to the Nexus 7, its the first time I have attempted such a task. At the moment I have managed to create a userdata.img file using the Trimslice file system and load it into the userdata partition with exception to the boot directory, there is a separate partition for that. On the kernel front I'm currently compiling a slightly modified version of Ubuntu's 3.1.10 Nexus 7 kernel, later on once I have the setup working I can try and compile a 3.6 kernel. I'll post some more info on the setup later today and document what I'v done, laters

How's progress?

It would sure be nice if more folks were interested in arch on the nexus 7.

What can I do to help?

I joined the forum just to ask about new Nexus compatibility - glad somebody's already started!
Any way to retain data services using Arch?
