NSA320 - Can't Boot Without laptop plugged into serial cable

Postby tech324 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 12:16 am

I took the plunge and installed arch linux on my nsa320. When I power it on, it will not fully boot up unless I have the serial cable plugged into my laptop. Once its booted I can remove the serial cable but I can't reboot. If I have the serial cable plugged into the laptop, I seem to be able to reboot with out issues.

Did you at any time connect the Tx, Rx, Grnd, AND power on the serial?
Someone else did this, same result

I am thinking it may have to do with the power_resume.sh script but I don't know where to place the script?

Thank you pepedog, I figured out part of my issue was I had the GND wire still connected to the NAS while rebooting. Taking that off seemed to help. Also I ran through your instructions on the resume script and the LED lights. Seems to work. Thank you for your help
