Updated instructions for TonidoPlug2?

Postby postman » Sun Jun 09, 2013 3:50 pm

Help is appreciated as I try to learn. Searching has yielded little to no help...

The wiki http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/tonidoplug-2 provides the following information for enabling the wifi capability on the TP2:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'E')nabling wireless

Edit /etc/rc.conf and add 'mwifiex_sdio' to the MODULES definition. It should look like: MODULES=(mwifiex_sdio)
Reboot, or simply modprobe mwifiex_sdio. You will now have an mlan0 interface for the wireless adapter.

I think that this is probably now out of date with the shift to a systemctl-centric arch. Any help anyone has to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

thanks much

Check out the Kernel Modules page in the Arch Linux wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kernel_modules#Loading

If you want to unconditionally load the module at boot, create the file /etc/modules-load.d/mwifiex_sdio.conf with the following contents:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
# Load mwifiex_sdio.ko at boot:
mwifiex_sdio
')

Hope this helps.
