Yes, being careful is the key.

Installing a lot of packages with a long list of dependencies would be like driving blindfolded, but just to add a couple of packages with almost no dependencies seems a risk I can take.

After all I just installed picocom and ser2net

First, thank you for this work.

I run several dockstar and GoflexNet archlinux installations with bodhi's uboot AND rescue.

I'd like to install your rescue. But before I'll have to pacman -S uboot-dockstar|goflexnet (depending on the machines).
Does anyone have a feedback using the archlinux package to overwrite bodhi's uboot ? Is it safe ?

For dockstar and goflex it should be a simple matter of installing the package.

Very good job.

I've updated one GoflexNet without worries coming from bodhi's uboot + jeff rescue
Works great.
