Will feh provide a rolling picture gallery?

I want to setup a rolling picture gallery on a TV and update the content remotely. I have found feh can provide an image viewer, but before I send ages trying to get it to work. I just wanted to check if anyone has tried this or works of a better way to get pictures display via a console or provide a rolling picture gallery?

feh is in the repos for 4/5/6, and based on http://feh.finalrewind.org/ it does look like you configure it as a walk-away rotating gallery
