syslog-ng.service for raspberry pi

Postby kgas » Sat Dec 29, 2012 5:56 pm

Thanks for the arch system for Raspberry pi. Here are some points for discussion (currently I am trying it with qemu and waiting for the Rasperry Pi shortly)
As the archlinux-ARM is also switched systemd, syslog-ng service can be disabled in the image file imo (this will also saves some writes to sd card).
fstab: requires both / and /boot to be mounted with rw option and can be updated in the image file.

I only get writes to everything.log once an hour, caused by cron of openntpd. Maybe my headless uses prefers it on?
The fstab in filesystem package is void of entries these days, on a pi it's there (and obviously rw as updates can write) for /boot, and somehow / is rw too
A discussion is welcome anytime
