Autostart XBMC with systemd

Postby Wotix » Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:05 am

hey!

I tried activating autostart xbmc by using
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 's')ystemctl enable xbmc

But unfortunately it does fail and says I should check "systemctl status xbmc.service"

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[')wotix@pi ~]$ systemctl status xbmc.service
xbmc.service - Starts instance of XBMC using xinit
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/xbmc.service; enabled)
Active: failed (Result: start-limit) since Thu 1970-01-01 01:00:34 BST; 43 years 1 months ago
Process: 151 ExecStart=/usr/bin/xinit /usr/bin/xbmc-standalone -- :0 -nolisten tcp (code=exited, status=203/EXEC)

Any ideas what this could mean? Why is there such an ancient date?!

Welcome Wotix
Did you see optional dependancies mentioned when you installed?
xorg-server: use systemd to start xbmc
xf86-video-fbdev: use systemd to start xbmc
Then check xorg-xinit got installed
