Unfortunately I don't have the camera module so I can't test it. What kernel module is it using? What happens if you modprobe this module?

I can't find a special module for the camera only. The standard kernel loads additionally "spidev", i removed it but the camera continues working without it.

I took a look but I couldn't find any differences between 3.6 and 3.10 that could affect this behavior. Any suggestions are welcome. Also it would help to get the outputs like above, but with 3.10 kernel.

ENOMEM doesn't mean not enough free (graphical) memory in the RPi, it's the same behaviour with camera disconnected.

Edit:
If i found the correct information the camera receives control commands via I2C and requires two interfaces, the CSI 2 or CCP 2 port for the image data coming from the camera (a very BCM specific part). I tried to find it with "i2cdetect -y 0" on bus 0, but i get stupid sequential addresses (maybe this is a reason?):

I2C bus 1 shows correct values but it isn't a candidate for the cam.

EDIT 2:
Now i switched back to the standard kernel and i see clean values for both i2c busses (although there is no address which could be the cam). Anyways maybe "i2c bus 0" is a point to start hunting the bug?
