High memory usage [SOLVED]

Postby zingchar » Thu Apr 10, 2014 7:19 pm

Hello guys,

It looks like lots of memory is being used not very clear by which process. I am amusing a class 10 pro sd card still after booting on the pi after a while it gets sluggish. I am running it headless with no GUI. Just have transmission running. Is anyone else facing the same issue?

Hello zingchar,
"free -m" shows only a usage of 52 M and 430 M are free, so what's the problem?

The 429 M shown in the used column are not really in use, the kernel is intelligent enough to keep old programs/data there to have a quick access if these become important again.
