Could not read resource file: ~/.rtorrent.rc

Hello forum,

I have just installed rTorrent. I have copied the rtorrent.rc to my users home folder
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ cp /usr/share/doc/rtorrent/rtorrent.rc ~/.rtorrent.rc')

I have setup the configurations as per the ArchWiki page. I have created ~/.session, ~/watch and ~/torrents folders. As the local user, in the local users home directory I started rTorrent.

rTorrent starts, but gives me the warning: Could not read resource file: ~/.rtorrent.rc

your ls -la makes it look like you copied the rtorrent.rc to a file called .rtorrent rather than .rtorrent.rc

try:

mv ~/.rtorrent ~/.rtorrent.rc

Yeah, I was being a blind fool and could not see the woods for the trees!
