Mout NTFS device with user

Postby joaocandre » Sat Mar 07, 2015 8:55 pm

ArchWiki claims I would need the ntfs-3g-fuse package to able to have a NTFS drive mounted AND owned by a specific user and group (need to set up user read/write permissions). Apparently yaourt claims ntfs-3g-fuse is not available for armv6h devices :cry: Anyone knows of a workaround?

You can temporarily (or permanently, as I do) add the following to /etc/yaourtrc:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'MAKEPKG_ARG+=(-A)')
Which disables checking the "arch" array in a PKGBUILD.

I didn't install or test the package, but it seems to compile fine.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('moonman', 'O')r pass -A argument to yaourt

Today I Learned - neat! :)

Neither of our things are mentioned at all in yaourt's man page, --help or default config file, can't remember how I found the MAKEPKG_ARG thing.

Should probably log a feature request for it.

Yeah I found it by chance by misspelling --noconfirm and makepkg came out with an error which made me think yaourt passes all arguments it doesn't know to makepkg

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Which disables checking the "arch" array in a PKGBUILD.

Is it safe though? I don't really want to break my install.

It just allows you to build stuff from the AUR that doesn't specify armv6h.

Packages from the standard repos are not affected, as you do not build them (and they're armv6h anyway).
