I'd like to install Arch Linux ARM on a Raspberry Pi 3. The device page on this site (https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-3) offers a choice between an ARMv7 or an AArch64 Installation and tells me to use the former if I need the "closed source vendor libraries". However, which exactly are those, or better, what could I need them for? The device page doesn't say anything else about them and I was hardly able to find anything about them on the internet.
Could I run into problems if I choose AArch64 and want to use the camera, the GPIO pins, or something like that?
PS: Posting links here seems to be horribly broken.
BBCode is simply rendered as text:
[url=https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-3]link[/url]
Simply pasting the link causes some PHP code to be inserted into the post text:
(https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-3)
was turned into
make_clickable_callback(MAGIC_URL_FULL, '(', 'https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv8/broadcom/raspberry-pi-3', '', ' class="postlink"'))
I'm turning URL parsing off because of this. Sorry, gotta paste it yourself
