RPI1 Model B UART connected to ground?

Postby Crazyachmed » Sun Aug 21, 2016 1:38 pm

Hi guys.

I'm having trouble with the onboard UART on my RPI1 Model B board. I had the UART running on a RPI Model B+ and swapped it with a RPI Model B, because I needed the additional USB-Ports elsewhere.

So I just swapped the boards and SD-Cards and the older Model B booted just fine and did what it had to do. Except that the UART doesn't work anymore. I've measured the pins and they are shorted to ground, how can this be? Is my board broken?

I've found someone who mentions the TX pin might be shorted to 3.3V sometimes, but that's not the case for me.

Any suggestions?
