Been interested in this for a while now. If this device were already out, I probably wouldn't have a Pro on my shelf and another in the mail, but rather four of these. Still, it will make having more net appliances a bit cheaper than relying on Buy.com's coupon code lasting to get the Pro for $48.99.

I recall seeing support for Arch Linux listed for this device in a description I read at one point... so I'm pretty sure it's still an option (most likely, it's a Arch Linux ARM install dirivative if something is already out there)... Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these myself so I can see exactly what it's capable of (and toss Arch Linux ARM install on there asap!) because it is DEFINITELY one that has my attention!
If "custom" was mass produced, it would just be a "product line..."

Help grow the dev population, have your techs trained and certified!

I do now.
Have alarm running but doesn't like eth0 so no network (using there kernel, modules and blobs)
Running basically dockstar rootfs

I am in (ssh), used oxnas image, and network entry in rc.conf is usb0 (not eth0)
Now updating, will have to remove the special oxnas scripts

sd card crappy, so just using for initial boot stuff, rootfs on hd now
