[SOLVED] ffmpeg no longer works - cannot map zero-fill pages

Postby Malvineous » Sat Mar 11, 2017 2:44 pm

Hi all,

After the last `pacman -Syu` I can no longer run ffmpeg:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
# ffmpeg
ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libnetcdf.so.11: cannot map zero-fill pages
')
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Google says it could be related to needing swap space, which seems weird. I'm hoping there's another workaround as I am not using anywhere near enough memory to need a swap partition, and it worked before the upgrade!

pacman says it's ffmpeg-1:3.2.4-1 and netcdf-4.4.1-2

Ok, turns out the upgrade placed .pacnew files in /boot which needed to be merged into the originals, since etc-update doesn't look there.

It got the root partition wrong in cmdline.txt but fixing that up and power cycling the Pi seems to have fixed the problem. I can now run ffmpeg without error!
