[SOLVED] Unknown Trust Signature When Updating...

Postby haroldjclements » Sat Jul 28, 2018 11:32 am

Hi forum,

I need some help. When I attempt to update (-Syu) my system I am getting the following error:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
error: attr: signature from "Arch Linux ARM Build System <builder@archlinuxarm.org>" is unknown trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/attr-2.4.48-1-armv6h.pkg.tar.xz is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).
Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]
')

Reading around suggested that I refresh the keys (sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys). The following is my output...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
gpg: refreshing 2 keys from hkps://hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: key 77193F152BDBE6A6: 6 signatures not checked due to missing keys
gpg: key 77193F152BDBE6A6: "Arch Linux ARM Build System <builder@archlinuxarm.org>" not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: unchanged: 1
')

I deleted all the packages in the cache and tried to update my system... same result...

I tried sudo pacman-key --init

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
gpg: /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created
gpg: no ultimately trusted keys found
gpg: starting migration from earlier GnuPG versions
gpg: porting secret keys from '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/secring.gpg' to gpg-agent
gpg: migration succeeded
gpg: Generating pacman keyring master key...
gpg: key F8577675DD9D4F62 marked as ultimately trusted
gpg: directory '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/openpgp-revocs.d' created
gpg: revocation certificate stored as '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/openpgp-revocs.d/7679CEE3BF9C561B534E3C79F8577675DD9D4F62.rev'
gpg: Done
==> Updating trust database...
gpg: marginals needed: 3 completes needed: 1 trust model: pgp
gpg: depth: 0 valid: 1 signed: 0 trust: 0-, 0q, 0n, 0m, 0f, 1u
')

But still the same negative result...

Any help will be gratefully received...

Harold

I think you should reinstall pacman, first.
But I'm afraid that it falls into the very same issue.

Thank you guys...

I was being stupid; reading round whilst waiting for a reply, I found the answer (as per ufo6000). However, I was reading the answer for the x86 architecture... so I was populating archlinux and not archlinuxarm.

Thank you again... will mark as solved

Kind Regards,
Harold
