I/O buffer errors on usb hdd when transfering root.

Postby Diesel1 » Thu Aug 08, 2019 8:18 pm

Hi all,

I think this must have been covered already but searching doesn't return anything useful.

I am installing archarm on a pi3 and using a usb hdd for /. When I rsync -axvHAXW to the new / partition I get a second or two of transfer then lots of i/o buffer errors. I transferred the fs using a different system but on boot the same buffer errors occur.

I have retried with Raspbian and things run perfectly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Diesel1.

EDIT:I have tried this with aarch64 and it works just fine.
