Insufficient boot partition size in installation guide

Postby wasd » Wed Jun 05, 2024 5:13 pm

Following the installation guide suggest using a 200MB sized boot partition. However, upon doing that and performing pacman -Syu on a fresh installation yields "error: Partition /boot too full". I changed it to 300MB to get it to work, and after a successful pacman -Syu and a reboot, df -h reports 238M out of 300M used so the guide needs to be updated.

Personally I a bigger partition than what the guide says, but if you rather install the linux-rpi kernel instead of mainline it's more than big enough. You can also remove the fall-back initrd if you have a good reason to use mainline.
