Cool :) I'm guessing that xbmc was build against newer version of some of the libs, but still weird!

Installed it today, and i also got a segfault on start:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
17:46:19 T:1099636736 ERROR: CAEWAVLoader::Initialize - Failed to resample audio: /usr/share/xbmc/addons/skin.confluence/sounds/cursor.wav
')

Have you succeeded in playing any sound on your raspberry pi? I haven't seen that error before, so maybe it's a general sound setup problem? Are your installation up-to-date?

System is up-to-date, sound is working fine (ncmpcpp, omxplayer, etc...), playing the file xbmc complains about with aplay works:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
uwe@raspi ~ > aplay /usr/share/xbmc/addons/skin.confluence/sounds/cursor.wav
Playing WAVE '/usr/share/xbmc/addons/skin.confluence/sounds/cursor.wav' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 22050 Hz, Stereo
')

Update: OK, starting xbmc from running X & awesome works... Should'nt be xbmc working without?

Update: When i try to change the audio output in xbmc, it freezes forever...

I found a sollution not able to start due to crashes problem.
Make sure you have dbus installed and running.

rc.d start dbus

and add it ot DAEMONS=(dbus) in rc.conf

Hmm, I don't have dbus running, but XBMC runs fine for me... But you might be right about it needs to be installed, but that should happen automaticly since xbmc depends on avahi, which depends on dbus.

Has anyone tested this with lirc?
My remote is working ( I can tell, since irw outputs correctly), but xbmc doesn't react to it. I have edited /usr/share/xbmc/system/Lircmap.xml to change mceusb to mceusb_hauppauge since that is what irw reports but it still doesn't work. Was this pkg compiled to work with lirc?

best regards,

guisacouto

edit:
seems like I had an old version, probably without lirc support. updated and everything it's working gr8 now. tks!
