Newb question - installation of Arch ARM from scratch

Postby graysky » Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:08 pm

Is it possible to install Arch ARM into a qemu VM without the image file provided on rasberrypi's page? In other words, boot a live CD and go through the installer? Initially, I'll do this in a VM as I awaiting my rpi. Thanks!

No. Not like a live CD.

You can however grab the rootfs, the kernel package, and firmware package then extract them into an appropriate rootfs.
