X crashes when scrolling

Postby dagnusmaximus » Sat Mar 30, 2013 8:40 am

I have 2 alarm pi's exhibiting the same behavior. Everytime I scroll in a window for longer than 2 seconds, X would crash and send me back to lxdm(if it didn't crash as well). I can force it to crash almost on cue by attempting scrolling through my <800 song library in ncmpcpp. It also crashes if the mutiple line output from pacman -Syu is visible on the screen. I have several trivial python scripts that write about 75 lines of text to the terminal stdout and these also can cause X to crash only if the output in visible in the foreground. The same python scripts work on every other python capable machine I have tested them on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
