Unable to boot from image(2013-07-22)

I'm unable to boot from the image
the power led turns on and the the activity led flashes 1 time. No hdmi output and no analog output.

setup: pi with 1A power supply and network cable to router and nothing else

I already tried:
-using another sd-card (same result)
-downloading other image and checking md5-sum(same result)
-NOOBS image (works 1 boot, then same result after rpi bootscreen)
-unplug hdmi cable
-boot other distro (works)
