uwsgi - very high cpu load

I installed ownCloud with uwsgi as a backend because it was described as very effective with resources.

However, now when I login to my fresh and empty ownCloud installation with a browser, every time I click on an option in the client connected to the same LAN as server (ie: go to files, calendar, contacs, or even user profile), the page loads in about 5-10 seconds, and the CPU utilisation of the process

on Raspberry server shuts up to 100% for those 5-10 seconds.

Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong?

I observed very similar cpu use, maybe a little less time to respond because i overclocked my pi to 1000mhz, but still definitely NOT usable.
I installed owncloud because i wanted something similar to dropbox.
In the end i managed to have a dropbox-like service on my pi by just using ssh and unison.
