THere seems to have been some vituperation on this subject, not least from the Foundation. As a humble Pi user, I find this very odd. I run two Pi Model B's, headless,; one has 256MB memory, and has run Arch, 24/7, for the last 17 months, without ever falling over. The other Pi, with 512MB, runs Raspbian, supposedly built for the Pi from the ground up. It keeps falling over. Not only that, but performance of the same tasks (e.g. Vim) over the network Is slower on the Raspbian machine, even though it has the faster network connection. Yes, I had a few problems setting up Arch (but supported very well by the Alarm team), but, once up and running, Arch is superb. Beware of Pretenders!
