panic after clean install

Postby dsmobile » Mon Dec 15, 2014 1:12 am

Hello everyone
Last time i installed arch on a raspberry pi img files were still available, now i had the need of doing a fresh install and i am getting into some troubles.

I followed the guide provided here http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/raspberry-pi (installation tab) and everything seems to work as it should at least no errors are thrown and i see both partitions mmcblk0p1 and mmcblk0p2 with what i assume are the correct files.

Although whenever i boot the pi with that sdcard i always get the following error
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'P')ANIC: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. See Linux Documentation ion/init.txt for guidancel

I followed the guide several times, with 2 different SDCards and always get the same result, can anyone provide any hints?

You've had an issue with something, but No Init Found sounds like a permissions failure. It made it that far, so it did mount the root partition.
