Picking up IP address but no DNS server address

Postby mashley » Sat Dec 27, 2014 8:10 pm

Hi all

I haven't used my Pi for a while and just fired it up. I'm finding that although it's successfully picking up an IP address from my router's DHCP server, it's not picking up a DNS server address. As a result, I cannot connect to any Internet services by name, omly by IP. I have read around DNS configuration with systemd, but don't want to configure the address manually - I want it to use the one provided by the DHCP server as it did the last time I used it. Other devices on the network successfully obtain the DNS server address from the router and nothing has changed on the configuration of the pi, so I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but would appreciate some guidance on how I can resolve this problem.

Many thanks in advance!
