USB Keyboard freeze

My RPi is suffering from wireless USB keyboard freeze.

I have tried:
- setting the usb speed to 1 in the command.txt
- powered & unpowered usb hubs
- usb power cable connected to my Wii
- cellphone power cable

but I cannot get rid of the issue. The only solution is to unplug the usb wireless to get control of the keyboard again.

Please assist.

Some usb power cables are pretty thin, had problem with that on a humming board. The Wii might not supply enough current.

It looks like my usb issue only happens with kodi:
- When I browse for media/play with settings and exit kodi = OK
- When I play MP3s and exit kodi = OK
- When I play videos and exit kodi = usb freeze.

I tried disconnecting my wireless usb keyboard & running kodi with the Wii Remote: exact same results as above.

I dunno if this is a kodi / hardware / arch issue...

When I do a lsmod | grep usb = no results returned. Is this normal...? [On my arch desktop I see entries for usbhid, ehci_hcd, ehci_pci, usbcore, etc.]

My Pi is a model B+.
Power supply: Output +5V 2A
