ArchLinuxARM-rpi-latest.tar.gz 24 Jan pacman issue

ArchLinuxARM-rpi-latest.tar.gz from yesterday seems to give problems updating with pacman - is there a problem with the database vs files installed in it?

This then errors out and does not do any updates.

For the moment I am working round this with:

pacman -Sy
pacman -S $(pacman -Qeq) --noconfirm --force

after an install - but it should not be necessary and takes some time... Would be good to have a rootfs which does not need this..

I understand this problem now. Looks like my installer is broken..

Yep - had the read only issue ok.

My problem was that the tail end of the archive was being lost by my installer - due to it being more than 50% of the free memory and the default limit on tmpfs being 50% of memory...
