Help, updates killed critical python app(SOLVED)

Postby jakebpg » Wed Mar 11, 2015 8:52 pm

I do have a backup of the system but I prefer to fix it what ever changed because of this Syu update so as to keep the system updated for future updates.

I just updated this system today and last update was run about a month ago with no problem.

Here's the error as captured by the geany IDE
GPIO-Admin: Could not flush data to /sys/class/gpio/export: Device or Resource busy

It is critical that I get this fixed as I support 4 systems that I have sold using this software. All was fine before this update. I have sent an email to my customers to not run the batch update script until further notice. If I have to I can re-image the disk back to a working condition but how to explain to customers NOT to run any updates from now on, hence the critical need to fix this grave problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Solved!! By adding device_tree= to the very top of my config.txt file in boot.
Hopefully they do NOT eliminate this option. Not all users need the use of this device tree nor want it!

You might try running lsof to see what might be accessing that device. Try something like the following:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
lsof | grep export
')
