using usbip to share devices connected to raspi

Postby gnasom1 » Thu Jun 18, 2015 8:31 am

I use usbip on raspi to share connected usb devices.
The last version which is working is usbip-3.14-3. I also have to stick with kernel linux-raspberrypi-3.12.35-1
If I update any of the mentioned 2 packages, the sharing does not work anymore.
All other packages are up-to-date.

Is there anybody using raspi with arch for sharing usb devices? Having the same problem?

I would appreciate any help.

Today I tried it again with the newest packages:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'core/linux-raspberrypi 3.12.35-1 --> 4.0.6-2
community/usbip 3.14-3 --> 4.1-1')

Result:
Binding of the device is OK, but the first time when data is transmitted, the complete system crashes. In the journal I can see:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'kernel: usbip-host 1-1.2: endpoint 0 is stalled
kernel: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000064')

Is there somebody who could test it whether it is some problem in my system or a real bug?

To the moderator:

Could you please move this thread to the software forum? My previous topic with the same issue was deleted, no idea why.

This is Raspberry Pi specific, why should I move it?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'T')his is Raspberry Pi specific, why should I move it?

Because I guess it is related to usbip. At least we could see if people with other hardware have no issues.
