pacman shows no "motion" pkg

Postby paku » Sat Feb 17, 2018 7:33 pm

Hi all,

pacman running on H3 OrangePi PC shows no "motion" package.
Tried to build from sources but now can not get "aclocal" /usually part of automake/.

How can I get "motion" running on OPi PC?

Board is running on latest av. kernel

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Linux opi 4.15.3-1-ARCH #1 SMP Tue Feb 13 02:21:08 UTC 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux')

Hi,

Please learn how to write reports, so people don't need to research your problem statement to understand it. So try to answer the following questions when writing a question:

1) what is your problem?
2) what is the output of the tool you use?
3) what are you trying to achieve?
4) are there any links that might be helpful?

Answering your question: aclocal is not a package, but automake is. Using pkgfile to look for aclocal:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[')naums@oarch ~]$ pkgfile aclocal
core/automake
extra/bash-completion

So you might try installing automake. Motion is apparently not available in the repositories, but maybe the AURs? If you know what you are doing, you can modify the PKGFILE to work with your platform.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('naums', 'S')o you might try installing automake.

That's the problem

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -Sy automake')

did not install "aclocal"
