Help needed on A31s power management

Postby colt2x » Fri Apr 18, 2025 9:12 am

Hi,

I have a defectivehttps://linux-sunxi.org/Colorfly_e708q1, with non-working USB and touch. But it boots Android and other Sunxi images. So decided to turn it to a wireless display device. Managed to install Arch, bring up network, and have display. (With kernel 5.5, as newer ones do not handle the display, at least i cannot figure out what to compile.) My problems are that i cannot adjust brightness, and handle power (no battery access of AXP20x chip, and CPU is too hot, with some % CPU usage in idle).

So i will be thankful if someone can give information about
- How do i adjust the brightness of LVDS LCD? As i understood the LVDS interface is in the CPU,
- How can i have the battery status reported in /sys/class...? I only have the usb... directory, which works properly, reports the charger status, and current.
- The CPU runs very hot. Is the cpufreq working on A31s ? Tried to set it 408MHz, buti t's not cooler. Android runs on much lower temperature. (Maybe there's a way to set CPU voltage?)

Thanks for any help:)
