Can you supply more information?
I am aware that I need the sources and the headers for the build.
But I not sure which one and how to do it in detail.

The PKGBUILD is still at 3.3.0:

https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... inux-sun7i

Any chance we'll see the 3.4 linux-sun7i in the repo any time soon? Can we help speeding up the process?

if you are looking for a newer kernel you may want to use this one: https://github.com/mikkeloscar/packages ... inux-sun7i (3.4.79)

it does a good job on my ct

Hello,

I have updated the kernel hosted here: https://github.com/mikkeloscar/packages ... inux-sun7i to fix a boot problem after updating to systemd 210. (CONFIG_FHANDLE=y was missing from the kernel).

Packages are avaible here: http://arch.moscar.net/armv7h/ if you don't wanna build the kernel, and trust my binary packages :).

Systemd 210 changelog: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/s ... 17362.html

Perhaps you would not be opposed to making a PR to the official repos for this kernel update on sun7i?

Hello

I have worked on a new version of a package for the linux-sun7i kernel since my initial PR was deemed as "garbage".

The new version is based on the config of the current linux-sun7i from core and it seems just as stable to me as the initial version from: https://github.com/mikkeloscar/packages ... inux-sun7i

I was wondering if anybody would like to help me test this before I make another PR. If you have a cubieboard2 or another device that runs the linux-sun7i kernel then it would be great if you could test it on that, since I'm only able to test it on the ct.

It's available here: https://github.com/mikkeloscar/PKGBUILD ... inux-sun7i

Binaries avaible here: http://arch.moscar.net/armv7h/

If you wanna test the wifi, make sure you have the firmware, it is now available in this package: https://github.com/mikkeloscar/packages ... /bcmdhd-fw or you can grab the binary from the link above.

Hi moscar,

I have just tested your latest kernel (linux-sun7i 3.4.79-1) on a Cubietruck and got a kernel error message right after plugging the ethernet cable that starts with:

<4>WARNING: at net/sched/sch_generic.c:256 dev_watchdog+0x1b4/0x24c()
<6>NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (sunxi_emac): transmit queue 0 timed out

You can see a full log since the machine was booted at http://pastebin.com/snZA7QhT

I will test your kernel on a Cubieboard 2 as soon as possible.

Edited: can you please point me to the u-boot and spl you are using? I've noticed that the u-boot from ArchLinuxARM-sun7i-latest.tar.gz still shows only 1GB for my Cubietruck.
