Nanopi duo 2 no wlan0

Postby R1220 » Fri Mar 06, 2020 6:58 pm

Hi

I have a NanoPi duo 2 and after installed Arch using the image for the A10 OlinuXino Lime (If I remember right).
It boots and all but I am not able to bring up the wlan.
The wifi chip should be the AP6212. I checked of brcmfmac is running and it was before the last upgrade, but even before the wifi wasn't working.
IP link only show eth0 and I can't find anything in dmesg related to wlan, ap6212 or wifi.
I am sure the hardware is working as armbian can see the wifi module.
Any guess?
I tried many other thing that I have forgot, also tried many troubleshooting I've found for the same chipset but with no luck.

Thanks

hi!

you might miss the firmware. have you tried to follow this guide?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NanoPi_NEO_Plus2
both Duo2 and Neo+2 seem to use the same wifi chip.

HI!

Thank you very much for your reply.
I haven't tried that. I did tried though coping all the /lib/modules from the working Armbian os but didn't worked.
I will try for sure the procedure you suggested and keep you posted.

Thank you very much
