Bananapi M1 (BPI-M1) does not fully boot

Postby cedric1337 » Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:58 am

I've installed archlinux arm on a Bananapi M1 (BPI-M1) using this guide [1]

u-boot is working, the kernel is running, and the root filesystem is mounted. Next systemd gives this error about mountpoints, and halts the system. See also the photo:
systemd[1]: Failed to determine whether /sys is a mount point: Bad file descriptor.
systemd[1]: Failed to determine whether /proc is a mount point: Bad file descriptor.
systemd[1]: Failed to determine whether /dev is a mount point: Bad file descriptor.

I suspect this is a bug in systemd. [2]. How to get around this?

Usually those are virtual file spaces on arch systems:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[summers@BBB ~]$ cat /proc/mounts
proc /proc proc rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime 0 0
sys /sys sysfs rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime 0 0
dev /dev devtmpfs rw,nosuid,relatime,size=220572k,nr_inodes=55143,mode=755 0 0
')
You could try mounting by hand, but usually it is done automatically ...

How can I do that? As far as i know the system is halted at this point.

How does systemd decide to mount these virtual directories?

How can I do that? Systemd halts the system:
[!!!!!!] Failed to mount early API filesystems
systemd[1] freezing execution

How does systemd decide to mount these virtual directories?
