[Mele A100]Output X to VGA?

Postby adam900710 » Thu Sep 13, 2012 1:36 pm

Hi,

Recently bought an A100 plug as for rtorrent with rutorrent WebUI.
However I feel like to run a X server in case when network is not usable.

After modprobe disp, there are 8 fb device in /dev,
and X starts successfully but there seems no VGA output.

Does the problem happens because the VGA output is not /dev/fb0(default fb driver will use it)?
If so which fb device is connected to VGA?

Thanks
Adam

The video configuration is a little more complicated on the A10 chipset.

pacman -Sy sunxi-tools

You want output-type 4

Thanks a lot.
I'll take a try.

BTW, it seems that Archlinux ARM lacks the arch wiki, any good sites like arch wiki but for Archlinux ARM?

But the Arch wiki lacks a lot of things especially for ARM devices.
e.g no special entry for ARM devices like raspberry pi or other plug, but some specific entries only woks for x86/x64 like ATI/NVIDIA.

Anyway, the original Arch wiki is good enough for userland things...
