I can confirm, maggu2810's fix works.
I compiled his 3.4.93 branch known as sunxi-3.4-mod and this works without apparent errors. The aforementioned ones are fixed.
I also compiled the ARCH 3.4.90-2 (linux-sun7i to 3.4.92-2) from PKGBUILD reverting the offending commit(s) with the same result. I don't pretend to be able to ascertain the viability of all of this, but the result seems at least more stable than what is currently available.
Given a limited testing time the new kernel was tested with the following external interfaces: HDMI (both text and graphics), SATA, NAND, SD, Ethernet, USB (mouse and keyboard), WiFi and Bluetooth on a Cubietruck and a Phoenix A20. Also The new kernel was compiled using this kernel.
A big thank you to Maggu2910 because this is all his work. I'm just an innocent bystander.
