If I look at the systemd code, it could be configured to be build without xattr support.
If HAVE_XATTR is not defined, the xattr mount option will not be used.

@PLyttle
I prepared an initramfs to reproduce the error and start a git bisect now.
So we will find the commit, that raised that.

Right, while you do that I am doing the stupid binary search for the commit that introduced the problem. It will take a while, because I have to compile 5 or 6 new kernels, and I don't use fast equipment. (takes about 2 hours to build one)

Well, keeps me off the streets at least

Ain't we having fun :-)

The commit is found. I have done the binary search.
I will send you a PM later.

One step closer to a fixed one... ;)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '/ # dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/root/bigfile bs=1M count=1500
1500+0 records in
1500+0 records out
1572864000 bytes (1.5GB) copied, 111.086127 seconds, 13.5MB/s
')

Got same problem.
Found it by strange behavior on file transfer via nfs -- can't copy file larger than 1.2Gb with CB2.
Mentioned dd sampe reproduces kernel failures.

I guess I was been able to solve the problem.
It worked now for me.
PLyttle is testing it, too.

You could wait, perhabs someone changed the Arch Linux kernel for the board to use my sunxi-3.4-cgroup-xattr-v2 patch, or try that to build your own one (and test if this one is working):

I can confirm, maggu2810's fix works.

I compiled his 3.4.93 branch known as sunxi-3.4-mod and this works without apparent errors. The aforementioned ones are fixed.

I also compiled the ARCH 3.4.90-2 (linux-sun7i to 3.4.92-2) from PKGBUILD reverting the offending commit(s) with the same result. I don't pretend to be able to ascertain the viability of all of this, but the result seems at least more stable than what is currently available.

Given a limited testing time the new kernel was tested with the following external interfaces: HDMI (both text and graphics), SATA, NAND, SD, Ethernet, USB (mouse and keyboard), WiFi and Bluetooth on a Cubietruck and a Phoenix A20. Also The new kernel was compiled using this kernel.

A big thank you to Maggu2910 because this is all his work. I'm just an innocent bystander.

Is uEnv.txt no longer supported in uboot-cubieboard2 2014.04-6?
Afer update my settings are ignored. Example:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'extraargs=ipv6.disable=1 mac_addr=00:18:8b:c4:9b:fe')
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@alarm ~]# ifconfig
eth0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.0.25 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255
inet6 fe80::6:7ff:fe00:b134 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x20<link>
ether 02:06:07:00:b1:34 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 24595 bytes 23681129 (22.5 MiB)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 12515 bytes 1309247 (1.2 MiB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0
device interrupt 87 base 0xe000')

No matter which option I use, all are ignored! File is located in standard path: /boot/uEnv.txt
Any ideas?
