that's not a heartbeat. It's indication that it is trying to boot from flash.

also, no dhcp, no monitor output, so only way to talk to it is via the rs232 pinouts?

We don't enable HDMI console @ boot. So nothing of a surprise there.

ya, i use an arduino as intermediary. same when reviving 7200.11 drives with that fw bug.
