Kernel update with troubles

Hi! i have updated kernel using this info: http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_Kernel. After inserting card the system loading in emergency mode. The error is with mmc card and eth0 drivers. What i do wrong? I compiled kernel and modules and copy modules and uImage to sd card.

i need enable spi in config not simple update kernel. I have resolve the problem. Download current config from /proc enable spi and recompile kernel! Profit!

After pacman -Syu my kernel have been upgraded but mu module (SPI) doe not present. Where i can enable spi kernel module?
