Cubieboard 2 stuck at boot

Hello everyone!
I have a serious issue with a year old Cubieboard 2 running ArchLinuxARM
with linux-sun7i kernel. I use it as a home server, therefore I rarely
switch it on/off. Since the last switch on it refuses to boot.
The serial output is the following:

I hope you guys can help me, whether or not it is ArchLinuxARM related.

It is not making it to u-boot :/ Verify that is in place properly.

Thank you for your fast reply. I did a test inspired by your reply: I freshly installed alarm on an sd card following the installation guide, accordingly, the u-boot is properly installed. Unfortunately, the serial output is the very same and the boot process is still stucked.
