nmon: a neat little system monitor

Postby geert » Thu Dec 30, 2010 4:31 am

I natively compiled lmon14e.c on my Pogoplug v2.
This will produce nmon, a nifty little system monitor using ncurses.
The stripped executable is attached. Enjoy!
Mind that the attachment is gzipped!
The upload would not accept the plain file.
So, please gunzip the file and put in /usr/bin.
Make sure it has 755 permissions.

Oops, I forgot to compile in filesystem support.
I attached a fresh, updated file.

Hi geert,
Can you tell me how to compile a c file? I am new to Linux and I try to make a c file and transfer to the PlugApp Linux running on my Pogoplug but could not find a way to transfer and compile.
Thanks!

Please do not post binaries as we cannot safely verify them. Instead, post the PKGBUILD you used to create a package, or link to one from the AUR.
Arch Linux ARM exists and continues to grow through community support, please donate today!

The original post is 4 months old anyway and ATM there are two nmon packages in the AUR, so no need to compile it manually.

pacman -S base-devel

And see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR for instructions on how to use the AUR. An AUR helper comes handy: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_Helpers

As for the packages, one is called nmon and the other nmon4linux. I think the first one is the original IBM tool which has been opensourced and the latter is a linux rewrite.
