[wandboard quad] how to change the default hdmi resolution

Postby jsntyyl » Tue Jan 28, 2014 6:16 am

My TV is old which just support 720p and 1080i, when I power on my wandboard quad, the tv said the signal is not compatible, then I download android form wandboard.org, and install it, I found in the boot and setting dir there are uEnv.txt and relevant files, in which there's a video_mode parameter there, so I wonder if this parameter fit for the archlinux.

The signal problem I have is sloved, browsered the wandboard google forum and found this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/wandboard/eQ3PaEe5uwo, ArchAngel Azrael says thers're two video parameters affecting the hdmi signal:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'v')ideo=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1440x900M@60,if=RGB24
video=HDMI-A-1:1680x1050@60

and Robert Nelson says
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he video parameter is different between the 'freescale' kernel fork
and the mainline 'kms' driver..

It seems that archlinux is using freescale kernel.
