I am very curious as to what memory address constraints I should be using. Documentation I could find on loading ramdisks stated that the addresses are platform-dependent, but I couldn't find further guidance in freescale's BSP. Any advice? I really do appreciate all of the help you all are providing.

From printenv,
console=ttymxc0
is the only "console" setting. Pepedog, I think you are 100% correct about not finding the rootfs - I was following the directions at
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dm ... oot_loader
and thus had:

cryptdevice=/dev/mmcblk0p2:root
root=/dev/mapper/root rootwait

in uEnv.txt, but I wasn't so clear as to whether this fully translated to arm. I also tried "mmcroot=" and "rootfs=", with no better results.
