[hummingboard / cubox] debugfs

Postby pzogal » Thu Oct 23, 2014 12:28 pm

Hello to all , this is my first post in this forum ;)

I have a question regarding debugfs. Right now it seems it's not included in the kernel, are there any plans to enable it or I have to recompile the kernel ?

regards,
Pawel
P.S. btw, debugfs is present on debian but this distro has other disadvantages for my stuff...

"not included" ... Did you check that it was not modularized?

Hi Warhead,

thanks for the prompt reply. I was researching the issue further and I downloaded the kernel from the solidrun repository (https://github.com/SolidRun/u-boot-imx6.git) and the default configuration (imx_v7_cbi_hb_defconfig) had the compiler option CONFIG_DEBUG_FS commented out... I am not a kernel expert yet, so maybe there is some other option to enable it. What do you mean with modularized ? Can I enable it by insmod ?

ciao,
Pawel

P.S. Pepe from the SolidRun forum has just updated the config in the SR rep...

Not the solidrun repo, the archlinuxarm repo
https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs/commit/7c631d8d63fcb819fba359a76932545c2030beae
So it will appear soon with pacman -Syu
