WB Quad - eth0 does not receive DHCP lease (systemd >=216)

Hi,

I dont know since when exactly, but for a couple of days my Wandboard does not receive any DHCP offers for eth0 from the router anymore. I tried to obtain a new lease via 'dhcpcd eth0' but it only times out. Even switching off the timeout via -t 0 I do not get any IP address assigned. Interestingly, my router recognizes the request and offers an IP request but it seems that the wandboard does not receives this offer.

If I plug in a usb ethernet device I can get an IP address without any problems via dhcpcd

I don't know how to trace back the issue anymore. I tried downgrading dhcp and systemd but it did not help at all.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problems with his wandboard?

EDIT: I just found the systemd-215 packages on my SAMSUNG ARM chromebooks cache and used them for downgrade. And VOILA, it works as expected!
Now the question remains, wtf is systemd doing as of version 216 such that my network does not work anymore... If somebody has any clue, please report it. I will also try to find a solution to get my LAN working again with newer versions of systemd.

Here comes the solution (for everybody who experiences the same problem):
