Cubox-i4pro video driver and resolution

Postby klundry » Fri Feb 27, 2015 4:09 pm

Why does the imx6 driver have acceleration for kodi but not for a regular xorg environment?

Also, using mesa I was able to get xorg and enlightenment installed and working. However, the resolution is not correct for my monitor. I can't figure out how to make it display in the correct resolution. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

So is there no way to get an acceptable desktop system on the Cubox-i? Right now I'm stuck at a lower non-native resolution and it looks like crap.

Any update on this by an owner?

I have one such device on its way, and I'm wondering what to expect.

I know etnaviv exists, but I don't know what level of support there currently is for the GC2000.

Having modesetting (and a framebuffer) at all would be nice.

I still haven't found any way to get video acceleration in x.

I sort of figured out my resolution issue. You can edit /boot/uEnv.txt and change the resolution by finding "1920x1080M@60" and changing it to the desired resolution. Sort of. I changed mine to 1920x1080 and it worked. But my monitor's native resolution is 1920x1200 and that didn't work. It just outputs 1080. Maybe 1080 is the highest resolution the cubox-i supports? Anybody know?
